style: THRIFTED part 1

Dungarees - Blitz // Top - Miss Selfridge + DIY// Shirt - Vintage Basement // Shoes - Nike Air Force 1 // Scarf - Brick Lane Vintage

Here is the first outfit I styled from pieces I picked up from the shopping trip I took in my latest youtube video (if you haven't watched it yet, please do - and don't forget to like, comment and subscribe).

When I go vinatge/ thrift shopping I usually have a piece I want in mind because it tends to be an overwhelming experience. You could end up finding a designer piece for £10 or less and it's very easy to get sidetracked with the sheer volume of clothing and other accessories that reside in thrift stores. However, getting sidetracked is sometimes a good thing. For example, although I had a pair of dungarees in mind, I got sidetracked and also picked up this cute scarf (which I think complements the look), a pair of sunglasses and a top that will be featured in my next post. I think this idea also applies to life in general. It's good to set goals and plans in order to reach those goals but you need to allow yourself stray from the plan as well when a good opportunity rears it's head. You could end up finding a hobby you love or a passion that could further help you achieve your goals. Plans are also not foolproof - you can never fully predict the future so you have be able to adapt your plans accordingly and "ride the wave" - as hippy-dippy as that sounds.

Stay tuned for my next post!
